Review of homological mirror symmetry
July 5, 2010 — University of Porto![]() | Speaker: Maxim Kontsevich (about) Abstract: Homological mirror symmetry conjecture relates symplectic geometry and complex geometry, via homological algebra. Originally it was formulated in the realm of Calabi-Yau varieties, i.e. compact complex manifolds with Ricci-flat Kahler metric (and vanishing canonical class). I'll give an overview of new types of examples, including both positive and negative canonical classes, singular varieties, etc..
